#2 of 10 things to do in Leicestershire
Number 2 on our list is: Twycross Zoo!
Have you been to Twycross and seen the monkeys? If you’re moored with Trinity Marinas then you are only a 20 minute drive away from the wide range of primates based there which makes a fabulous day out for young and old alike. Twycross houses around 500 animals including many endangered species and is open 364 days of the year, so you will never be turned away at locked gates (unless you turn up on Christmas Day of course!). Go and visit the Amur Leopard (the world’s rarest cat), find out more about individual species in the daily talks at the zoo, and go and see my own favourites – the Meerkats!
Almost everyone has heard of Twycross Zoo, and many would agree that this has a firm place in a top ten things to do in Leicestershire list. So join the crowds and see what all the fuss is about!
